Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday announced a trust for the construction of Ram temple in the Lok Sabha after a cabinet meeting. The Modi government has given the name of the trust a Ram temple pilgrimage area. PM had announced in Lok Sabha that “We have readied a scheme for the development of Ram Temple in Ayodhya. A trust has been formed it is called Sri Ram Janambhoomi Tirath Kshetra.” He said, “I am happy to announce that in the cabinet meeting today morning, we took significant decisions on the Ayodhya trust. As per the orders of the Supreme Court, we have set up a trust. The Sri Ram Janma Bhumi Tirtha Shetra will be the name of the trust. It will be an independent body.”
The Congress is watching this announcement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the political point of view, Congress asked why the Central Government has announced the Ram Mandir Trust just before the election? Political rhetoric has also started on the decision of Modi government. Now the AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi said, “Session of the parliament will end on 11 Feburary and the announcement could have come after 8 Feburary. It seems like that the BJP is worried about the Delhi elections.” Owaisi added that the Sunni Waqf Board shouldn’t not take the five-acre land. “The Supreme Court is supreme and not infallible. PM’s announcement is a violation of the Model of Conduct.”

It may be noted that in Delhi Assembly elections, where the ruling Aam Aadmi Party has come out in the field of education, health, BJP first wanted to make opposition to the citizenship law in Shaheen Bagh an election issue. Then the connection of the election was also linked with Pakistan, but seeing the success now this election has to be connected with the Ram temple. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah have addressed all the rally-meetings for the Delhi elections. The Congress has questioned the formation of the trust at such a time.
