New Delhi: The price of petrol and diesel in the country rose for the sixth straight day on Monday. The cost of petrol rose by 35 paise, costing Rs 109.69 per litre in Delhi. Diesel now costs Rs 98.42 per litre in the national capital.
In Mumbai, the former costs Rs 115.5 and the latter 106.62, while in Chennai the prices are Rs 106.35 and Rs 102.59 respectively.
In Kolkata, they cost Rs 110.15 and 101.56 per litre respectively.
In the international market, the price of crude oil dropped after China announced it had released reserves of gasoline and diesel.
Commercial LPG costlier by Rs 266
The price of commercial Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPF) rose by Rs 266. With this increase, one cylinder of commercial LPG now coses Rs 2,000.5, up from Rs 1,735.5.
In Mumbai, the 19 kg cylinder will cost Rs 1,950, while it will cost Rs 2,073.5 in Kolkata and RS 2,133 in Chennai.
