Patan MLA writes to the Chief Minister “Injustice with general category women in LRD recruitment”

Gandhinagar: The result of recruitment of lok Rakshak Dal has been announced on 1 December amid controversies in Gujarat. Patan MLA Kirit Patel has written to the Chief Minister about the injustice to women in the open category in the regard.

MLA Kirit Patel thanked the Chief Minister for the recently announced result of the LRD exam held in January-2018. However, he also said that injustice was done with women in the merit list. He said, names of Patel Jignaben Ambalal and Patel Mayaben Dayabhai were not included in the result, although they had scored high in the exams. The merit list is inappropriate, injustice has been done with the women of general category.

Demanding justice in the regard Patel said “if the merit list is inappropriate it should be scrapped. Open category women candidates along with OBC, ST and other categories should be included in the merit list and appointment letters should be issued aftermath.
