- The 2022 Budget Session was to culminate on April 8
New Delhi: The 2022 Budget Session of the Parliament concluded on Thursday, a day before scheduled, after both Houses were adjourned sine die.
The 2022 Budget session was held in two parts. The first one began on January 31 and ended on February 11. It resumed on March 14 after a break of over a month for Assembly elections in five states.
The second part was to end on April 8.
However, a day before schedule, both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned sine die on Thursday.
Reacting to the development, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor tweeted, “Instead of adjourning Parliament two days early, the government should have had the courage to listen to a serious debate on fuel price rise & consumer inflation. It’s clear that GOI doesn’t want to discuss prices at any price!”
