Old Memo Book With New Fines Bother Traffic Police and Public

Gujarat: New Motor Vehicle Act has been implemented in the state beside this all the traffic police officers have to hold the old memo book. Since, the new stock of the book is not available they have been given the order to give a memo from the old book. Drivers are penalized from the old memo book. According to the old penalties, the person who is without the helmet charged a fine of Rs 100. The new rule imposes a fine of Rs 500 and that is arguments is happening between the traffic police and the drivers. About 700 old memo books are still lying with Ahmedabad city traffic police.
