Hitesh Gupta, the lawyer for IAS officer Dr Gaurav Dahiya, has in a press conference made some explosive claims. Gupta said that an official of another female IAS officer was instrumental in trying to get Dr Dahiya framed in the case that led to his eventual suspension.

Gupta hinted that the official was in the health department and was in constant touch with Linu Singh and police have found proof of the conversation between the two.

Meanwhile, Linu’s father told Delhi cops who went to Uttar Pradesh to question her that she was in Nepal. She allegedly talked to the cops on phone, while she was in Nepal.

Reports said Linu allegedly threatened the cops that she would commit suicide in front of the police station and name the inspector and Dahiya in her suicide note.

Gupta said Linu and her husband Kuldeep Dinkar had planned to blackmail Dahiya and extort Rs 20 crore and a flat from him in Delhi.

Linu had accused Dr Dahiya of bigamy and fraud. She had said he married her in Tirupati and left her when he found out she was pregnant.

Gupta said investigations are on as to how Linu who claimed to be in financial distress was able to stay at Vaibhavi Club House and that it was arranged for her by some influential officials.

Linu allegedly created several fake social media posts through various mediums to defame Dr Dahiya and he had later filed a Rs2.5 crore defamation case against her. The respective social media sites were also asked to take down the posts.

Gupta said his client had also written to the Gujarat government stating that the charges against him are baseless and his suspension should be revoked.

He had also offered to work on COVID-19 duty in the state. Linu has also claimed that Dahiya is the father of her child and the IAS officer has said he is willing to undergo a DNA test.
