Nurse at Navsari Civil Hospital commits suicide, blames senior for forcing her to have relation with colleague

A nurse in Vijalpor town in Navsari killed herself at her home. The 28-year-old was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her home.

In a suicide note left behind, she has blamed the head nurse of the hospital where she worked for the extreme step.
She alleged that the head nurse was forcing her to have physical relation with a senior at a hospital.

The five-page suicide note also appeals to her family to not let her in-laws be present for her last rites. The woman, identified as Megha, a resident of Jalaram Society in Vijalpor worked as a nurse with the Navsari Civil Hospital.

It is being alleged that Megha was suffering from depression while the family has alleged that she took the extreme step after being unable to withstand the harassment of higher officials at the hospital.

Her suicide noted among others accuses matron Tara Gamit and Vinita Patel of harassing her. She has also accused her of forcing her to have physical relations with a senior. She has also insisted that her in-laws should not be present for her funeral.

Police are further investigating the matter.

What police said about the suicide?

Police as of now have registered a case of accidental death and have recovered the suicide note that mentions two people, a cop said. Cops said they will be questioning several people in connection with the case including her colleagues.
