The capital Delhi is burning in the fire of violence in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act. The violence has taken a formidable form in Delhi. So far 23 people have lost their lives. For the second time in less than 24 hours, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval landed up in the riot-affected areas of north-east Delhi to personally review the situation and allay the security concerns of local people. On Wednesday afternoon, he spent more than half an hour, walking along the streets of Jafrabad, among the worst affected areas, and interacting with the local police.
National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, taking stock of the violence-hit areas in north-east Delhi on Wednesday, told locals in Jafrabad that the situation is under control and said, “I give you my word of honour for your safety.” He also said that the Delhi Police is “doing its job” and that the people should have faith in the security force.
Ajit Doval took stock of the situation in Maujpur area of Northeast Delhi. During this, he also interacted with the local people. Talking to a woman, Ajit Doval said that stay in the spirit of love. We have a country, we all have to meet. The country has to move forward together. Earlier too, Ajit Doval has visited in several areas of Northeast Delhi including Zafarabad and Seelampur.
