xpansioPatna: The Cabinet expansion in the Grand Alliance government in Bihar, led by Nitish Kumar, will take place on Tuesday. As many as 31 ministers are expected to be inducted in the Cabinet.
According to reports, Tejashwi Yadav’s RJD is expected to get the maximum berths, 16, followed by Nitish Kumar’s JD(U), 11.
Two MLAs from Congress, one from Jitin Ram Manji’s HAM and independent MLA Sumit Kumar Singh, too, are likely to take oath.
The maximum capacity of the Bihar Cabinet is 36, including the CM and DyCM.
Days ago, Nitish parted ways with BJP and resigned from his post. Backed by the Opposition parties, he returned to claim the post the next day.
He and Tejashwi Yadav were sworn in as the CM and DyCM of Bihar on August 10.
Nitish Kumar will have to face the floor test on August 24.
