National Investigation Agency-NIA has raided six places including the office of a lawyer in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. NIA busted an ISIS-linked terror module in an intelligence-led joint operation with the Anti Terror Squad (ATS) of Madhya Pradesh Police, arresting three persons from Jabalpur.

The arrests took place during overnight raids by the NIA at 13 locations in Jabalpur on May 26 and 27. The arrested trio Syed Mamoor Ali, Mohammad Adil Khan and Mohammad Shahid will be produced in the NIA special court in Bhopal.
An NIA team of a dozen officers and about 200 policemen from Delhi and Bhopal raided several areas of Jabalpur including Badi Omati. The NIA raided the residence of the city’s senior advocate A Usmani and known criminal Abdul Razzaq.
According to the information, during the raid, the NIA team detained many people in the case related to national security and terrorist funding and also seized suspicious material including weapons. The central agency has seized sharp-edged weapons, ammunition (including prohibited bore), incriminating documents and digital devices.
It is worth mentioning that NIA had recently caught some people involved in suspicious activities by raiding Khandwa, Barwani, Seoni, and Bhind while taking state-wide action. This raid is also being linked to the same investigation.
