Gandhinagar: The state government has decided to start new GIDCs in 13 districts. Bhupendra Patel government has given in-principle approval for the feasibility report. The decision taken by the state government will pave the way for the educated youth of Gujarat to get employment near their village or town.

GIDCs will be established in 21 taluks of Junagadh, Mehsana, Mahisagar, Bharuch, Banaskantha, Patan, Chhotaudaipur, Gir Somnath, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Amreli, Anand and Junagadh districts in the state. According to the decision, permission has been granted to start GIDCs at Vinchhiya in Rajkot, Satlasana in Mehsana, Palanpur, Dhanera, Siddhapur, Santalpur, Bodeli, New port of Gir Somnath, Kadjodara in Dehgam taluk, Thasara in Kheda, Savarkundla, Mahudha in Junagadh district.
During the assembly session, it was announced to set up new GIDCs in the state. The decision for the new GIDC will be taken considering the factors such as land availability and agricultural production. GIDCs will be set up in thirteen districts of the state, thereby the number of employment will be increased.
Local youth will be able to get job in companies and factories. Consequently, the number of employment and level of income will rise in the region. Besides, migration from the district will be reduced due to GIDC.
