- Buses will start from Lal Darwaja, Vadaj, Saranjpur and Maninagar terminus; minimum 40 passengers required for group tour
Ahmedabad: This Navratri, the devout will have an opportunity to explore religious places in Ahmedabad, thanks to the Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Services (AMTS). In a transport committee meeting on Thursday, it was decided that religious tours around the city would be offered a religious tour of the city on AMTS buses for Rs 60 per ticket.
As per the decision taken, these buses will start from Lal Darwaja, Vadaj, Sarangpur and Maninagar terminus. For group bookings, a minimum of 40 persons per group will be accepted.
AMTS chairman Vallabhbhai Patel said, “Navratri begins on October 7 this year. A special arrangement has been made for a tour of all temples of the goddess in the city, like Bhadrakali temple, Asarwa Chamunda temple, Naroda Padmavati temple, Dudheshwar Mahakali temple, Nikol Khodiar temple, Rakhial Harsiddhi temple, Bhulabhai Park Bahucharmata temple, Behrampura Meldi Mata temple, SG Highway Vaishnodevi dimple, Jaspur road Umiya Mata temple, Sughad Aaimata temple, Navrangpura Hinglaj temple, etc.”
He added that buses will be operated from 8.15 am to 4.15 pm. While a ticket will cost Rs 60 for adults, it will be Rs 30 for children. Passengers will be able to board and get off at the place of their choice. For group bookings, payment will have to be done for a minimum of 40 persons. Booking can be done at the four bus terminus.
