Gandhinagar: Gujarat Congress leaders Naresh Raval and Raju Parmar are all set to resign from the party and join the BJP.
Naresh Raval is the former leader of Opposition in the state Assembly, and Raju Parmar is a former Congress MP. There are reports that they will join the BJP on August 17.
Their resignations come just a few months ahead of the Gujarat Assembly elections, and at a time when preparations for the polls are being intensified by all parties.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has already declared its first list of candidates who will contest the polls.
