Narendra Modi won 2 terms because of “foolishness” of Akhilesh Yadav & Mayawati: Asaduddin Owaisi

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has hit out at Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav and Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati terming them as “foolish” and “vote spoilers”. While addressing a gathering during his ongoing tour of Uttar Pradesh, Owaisi said that Narendra Modi became the prime minister of India twice because of the foolishness of the two party presidents.

Notably, Asaduddin Owaisi’s strong remarks against the SP and BSP chiefs come as his party plans to contest the upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh due next year. Earlier this week, he had launched his party’s campaign for the upcoming state assembly elections in Ayodhya.

At a public meeting in Odara village of the Sultanpur district, Owaisi said, “Narendra Modi became the prime minister of the country twice because of the ”nasamjhi” (foolishness) of Akhilesh (Yadav) and Mayawati.”

Asaduddin Owaisi targets SP

On allegations that AIMIM is entering the fray to divide Opposition votes and strengthen the BJP, Owaisi asked, “when you all (Muslims) voted for Akhilesh Yadav’s party, how come a BJP candidate won from here in the last assembly polls? Similarly, how did the BJP win the Sultanpur Lok Sabha seat in 2019 when no AIMIM candidate had contested from here?”

The Hyderabad MP targeted Akhilesh Yadav and said, “Are Muslims your slaves?” He added, “The BJP did not win the two consecutive general elections in 2014 and 2019 with the Muslims votes as they got only six per cent of their votes in the two polls. SP and BSP have only sucked your blood.”

Criticises Yogi Adityanath

“The Centre had provided Rs 116 crore for the welfare of minorities in UP but he has spent only Rs 10 crore out of it. I had raised the issue in Parliament while Akhilesh maintained silence over the issue,” the AIMIM chief said targeting UP CM Yogi Adityanath.
