Indian Army released the names of five soldiers martyred in a grenade attack by terrorists in Poonch District of Jammu and Kashmir. They have been identified as Hawaldar Mandeep Singh, Lance naik Debashish Baswal, Lance naik Kulwant Singh, sepoy Harkrishan Singh and Sepoy Sewak Singh. The chief of the Army Staff General Manoj Pandey, paying tributes, said Indian Army salutes the supreme sacrifice of these five soldiers.
He added that the soldiers serving their duty towards nation gave supreme sacrifice in Poonch sector. On Thursday five soldiers were dead due to fire in a military vehicle.

Later, the army issued a statement saying that the extremists are behind this incident. Five soldiers of Rashtriya Rifles have lost their lives in the accident. As part of the campaign against terrorists, soldiers have been deployed in the area and the search operation is being conducted.
According to the army, another seriously injured soldier is being treated at the army hospital in Rajouri. Currently, massive search is on for the assailants. According to the information available, Jaish-backed terrorist organization PAFF – People’s Anti-Fascist Front has claimed the responsibility for the attack.
