Modiji, you helped a lot to Adani, we will help people of Karnataka: Rahul Gandhi

Even after disqualification as a Lok Sabha member, Rahul Gandhi has continued to attack Modi government at the Centre over Adani issue. Raising Adani issue in Karnataka Assembly election, Rahul Gandhi said, ” Modi government declared me disqualified fearing over my questions, but it does not affect me, I will continue to speak till Government does not reply about this issue.”

Addressing a rally in Kolar, Karnataka Rahul Gandhi asked what BJP has done in Karnataka ? They took 40 per cent commission. BJP government of Karnataka charged money from the people of state to get their work done. Whatever they did , they have taken 40 per cent as commission. These are not my words, contractor association has written it in their letter addressed to the Prime Minister. But the Prime Minister has not replied to the letter. No reply of the letter means Prime Minister has accepted that 40 per cent commission is being taken in Karnataka.

Raising the Adani issue Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said,” Prime Minister ji, if you can give thousands of crores of rupees to Adani, we can give money to the poor, women and youth. You helped Adani a lot, we will help the Karnataka people.” Rahul Gandhi added,” I asked in the Parliament that who owns an amount of Rs. 20,000 crores in Adani’s shell company? Subsequently, the government did not allow the Parliament to function, and that happened for the first time in the history of India. Normally the opposition disrupts the proceeding of the parliament but for the first time the ministers from the government disrupted the functioning of the parliament.

Over the disqualification as a Lok Sabha Member, Rahul Gandhi said,” They (BJP) think that by removing me from the Parliament, threatening me they will intimidate me. But, I am not afraid of them. I repeatedly ask, Prime Minister ji, who owns an amount of Rs. 20,000 crores in Adani’s shell company? I will not stop until I get the answer to the question. Disqualify me, put me in jail, do whatever, I don’t mind. In defence infrastructure company of Adani one director is Chinese. There is also a Chinese director in Adani’s shell company. No probe is going on about it. They divert the attention by other topics.”
