Ahmedabad-based company,HCP Design, Planning and Management Private Limited has awarded as the architectural consultant for the rebuilding of the Parliament. The Parliament building will finished by August 2022 and the total estimated cost for the Parliament building is Rs 229.7 crore.
A Company lead by Bimal Patel has also given the responsibility of redevelopment of Central vista in Gandhinagar and Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad. Urban Development Minister Hardeep Puri said that the contract of redevelopment has been sanctioned at the cost of Rs 229.7 crore it is below the estimated cost Rs 448 crore.
Puri said that the heritage building will not be pulled down because this is the iconic plan for a new look of Delhi and the consulting cost is 3 to 5 percent of the total cost.This redevelopment also includes a new secretariat building because many Government offices in Delhi-NCR spent monthly rent of Rs 1,000 crore.
This redevelopment of the parliament building is to achieve the needs for at least 250 years and now the time has come to rebuild it in a modern way that defines the characteristics of the National Capital Delhi.For this step of redevelopment Delhi minister has taken several measure steps by allowing ownership rights to the unauthorized colonies.
