- Yoga training videos will be available in different languages through this app
New Delhi: Taking forward his idea of making yoga easily available to people across the world, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced launch of M-Yoga app, a mobile application, for yoga videos.
The videos will be available in different languages for people across the world, the PM said. The app has been developed in association with the World Health Organization (WHO).
“When India made the proposal of the International Yoga Day, the idea was to make yoga easily available to everyone. I believe the app will play a major role in making the motto ‘One World, One Health’ a success,” he said.
He called the app a great example of fusion of modern technology and ancient science.
The theme for the seventh International Yoga Day is ‘Yoga for Wellness’ with focus on practising yoga for physical and mental well-being.
In recognition of the universal appeal of yoga, the United Nations proclaimed June 21 as the International Day of Yoga in December 2014. Since then, mass yoga events are held every year at various places across the world on the yoga day.
