New Delhi: Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Wednesday, is in a stable condition now, hospital authorities have said.
Manmohan Singh, 89, had been admitted to the hospital after the fever that had set in on Tuesday did not subside.
On Thursday morning, doctors at AIIMS said his condition was stable.
He is currently under observation.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya reached AIIMS on Thursday morning to meet Singh.
“I pray for the good health and speedy recovery of Dr Manmohan Singhji,” tweeted PM Narendra Modi.
Several other leaders, including Petroleum minister Hardeep Singh Puri and others, too, prayed for Singh’s recovery.
