Ahmedabad: The recognition of Hathijan-based DPS School where the Nityanand Ashram was running, has been cancelled by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education).
A complaint has been filed against DPS school administrators Manjula Pooja Shroff and Hiten Vasant for submitting forged documents. Manjula Shroff and Hitin Vasant are absconding for fear of being arrested by the police and have now filed for an anticipatory bail. The trial will be held on 4 December.
As you know, the Chairman and MD of the Kalorex Foundation to avoid arrest in the case of fake NOC filing to the CBSC board for permission of DPS East School in Hathijan area. Manjula Pooja Shroff and then trustee Hiten Vasant have filed for anticipatory bail in the Rural Court.
Manjula Shroff and Hiten Vasant in their bail application have dismissed the allegations against them saying, the police complaint against them at Vivekananda Police Station is baseless and false, therefore no offense can be registered against him. Therefore, their anticipatory bail is approved by the court. However, will their anticipatory bail be approved or not will only come to light on December 4.
DPS School in 2010 for affiliation with the CBSE, had submitted NOC to Gujarat Education Department. However, after Nityanand Case came to light, the investigation revealed that the NOC given to CBSE was fake. There is no such NOC granted. The issue was not released by the Education Department of Gujarat. Hence the District Education Officer of Ahmedabad Rural filed a police complaint last Friday.
In the complaint, DPS East Principal Anita Dua, Trustee Hitin Vasant and the Chairman-MD Manjula Pooja Shroff have been accused of cheating and producing forged documents to the education department.
