A 37-year-old man in Kutch allegedly killed his live-in partner and her minor daughter and dumped their body in a sewer. The duo was killed over ‘frequent quarrels’ with the man.
Police said the man identified as Sanjay Singh had three days ago hit his 41-year-old live-in partner and her teen daughter with a stick. Police said he took them on his bike to a nearby forest and then killed them by hitting them on their head.
The child who was 13 was found in the sewer on Sunday while the mother’s body was recovered on Monday from the sewer line near Gandhidham city.
The cops had to take the help of the municipality to fish out the bodies.
Singh originally belonged to Bikaner and had known the woman who was his neighbour in Rajasthan. She had left her husband following a marital dispute and had started living with the accused.
She had two daughters one of whom was married. She had been living with Singh in Gandhidham for over a decade.
The woman’s elder daughter told cops that her mother and her partner had constant fights over the latter’s affair with another woman. Singh worked as a plumber.
On February 12, Singh asked the woman and her daughter to accompany him to a nearby village. He took them on his bike, killed them, and dumped their body.
