Delhi: Vigorous efforts are going on to unite the opposition parties before the Lok Sabha elections. But a statement given by a leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) can cause a big blow to the unity of opposition. After achieving victory in Delhi and Punjab, AAP is now in the preparation to contest the Lok Sabha elections also. The party will contest on all 543 seats. Even in states where AAP does not have presence and cadre, it is preparing to contest elections vigorously. A senior party leader said,” Without entering the fray how people will know about party.”

He said, ” We are preparing to contest on all the seats in the Lok Sabha election. We will also fight on those seats where we do not have a cadre yet, where we have no hope of winning, we will also fight on those seats so that people recognize and know about the Aam Aadmi Party. Although, currently the party has no strategy about how to contest the elections, but it is sure that the party will contest on all the Lok Sabha seats.”
AAP will contest the Lok Sabha elections, but no information has come to the fore whether it will join hands with any party or contest single handedly. The party leader further said,” We know that AAP is still a new party in many states, but before becoming an IAS officer, you have to clear prelims, mains and then the interview. The party is confident of winning all the seats in Punjab because if we can win Jalandhar seat, we can win all the 13 seats. AAP is also confident of winning 2-3 seats in Gujarat and Rajasthan.”
AAP also believes that it will perform well in Madhya Pradesh also. Our party has done well in Gwalior and Rewa, hence victory on more seats is expected here. However, the party is not sure about the figure of the seats it will be able to win in its home turf of Delhi. He added, “The story here is different. People here vote for AAP in assembly elections and BJP in Lok Sabha elections, but this time the party will definitely win seven seats.”
