The robbery cases are on rise in Gandhidham, Kutch. Yesterday, a major robbery took place, fifth in the last three years and third in a single year. In a sensational robbery in broad daylight, four men robbed of Rs 1.05 crore cash at gunpoint in Gandhidham. They barged into the office of a private angadia in the heart of town, and threatened the staff at gunpoint before fleeing away with cash worth Rs 1.05 crore. Despite the CCTV cameras, the robbers managed to get away with amount, eluding the police.

Mukesh Chaudhary, Dy SP, Anjar said, ” Around 3 in the afternoon, PM Enterprise, a private courier firm in the heart of Anjar, was targeted. The men had their faces covered with masks, and they were wearing helmets. They took away the cash in two bags.
Meanwhile, Mahendra Bagaria, superintendent of Kutch (east) police, said, “There were six staff members and some friends of the courier firm owner inside the office when the robbers struck. As they were wielding firearms, no one could resist and they managed to escape with the cash.”
The SP added, “A purported CCTV footage of the incident showed the men entering the courier office with their helmets on, pulling out their weapons, and training them at the staff. “We have done nakabandi in the district and efforts are on to nab the robbers.”
The two motorbikes used for robbery did not bear registration plates.
An FIR has been filed at ‘A’ Division police station in Gandhidham town on a complaint filed by Pratik Thakkar, the owner of the PM Enterprise.
