Gandhinagar: Gujarat DGP Shivanand Jha will retire in April, while AK Singh, who has recently has been appointed the DG of SPG, is scheduled to retire next year. Eleven IPS officers of Gujarat cadre, including these two officers, are due to retire in the next one year due to age limit.
IGP RJ Savani of 1998 batch Gujarat Cadre, Principal of the Police Training School-Vadodara, will retire on December 31 this month due to age limit. While Civil Defence Additional DG (1987 batch) PB Gondia and Ahmedabad Range IG (1997 Batch) IGP AK Jadeja will retire in February and March 2020 respectively owing to age limit. RH Sanghara (2006) Gujarat Cadre will also retire in March next year.
Gujarat DGP Shivanand Jha will retire in April due to age limit. He became DGP of Gujarat on 1 March 2018 and will continue as the DGP for 25 months. After him, 2000 batch IG DB Vaghela, Additional Director, Anti- Corruption Bureau, Ahmedabad will retire. AN Patel (2001 batch) Joint Commissioner of Police, Surat City, will also retire in June next year due to age limit.
DG rank Senior IPS officer, ATS Chief (1985 batch) DG AK Surolia, who is well known for the encounter of Abdul Latif, who was once a dreaded gangster in the state, is slated to retire in July month next year. The batch IPS AK Singh, Ex–Commissioner of Ahmedabad city, now the SPG DG Will retire in the month of September. ADG KK Ojha of the 1987 batch and 2000 batch SP rank IPS KA Ninama will retire in the month of October due to age restrictions. Kk Ojha, ADG of 1987 Bench and IPS KA of SP rank of 2008 Bench will retire due to age limit in October. A total 11 IPS officers of Gujarat are due to retire in next one year due to age limit.
