It may be noted that while the Gujarat government was trying to make the “Namaste Trump” event a success, the Khambhat of Anand district was burning in the communal riot. In the aftermath of the riot, the Gujarat government took a big action by replacing Anand SP Makrand Chauhan and Khambhat DYSP Reema Munshi with immediate effect and put them on leave. In such a situation, the question arises that the BJP government of Gujarat has acquired more police power.
