Kerala: RSS worker hacked to death in Palakkad

Palakkad: A worker of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) was hacked to death in Palakkad district of Kerala on Monday morning. The killers were allegedly by members of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), the political wing of Popular Front of India.

The deceased was identified as A Sanjith (26). He was going with his wife on a motorcycle at around 9 am on Saturday when he was attacked. He sustained serious injuries in the assault and was rushed to the hospital.

However, Sanjith could not be saved.

Condemning the incident, Palakkad BJP district president KM Haridas called it a “well-planned” political murder. He also lashed out at the Pinarayi Vijayan-led Left government in Kerala and accused it of supporting SDPI.

“A Sanjith was going with this wife when he was stopped and brutally attacked. The SDPI in the state has got the ruling party’s backing,” he said.

The police have launched an investigation in the matter.
