Kolkata: The Modi government at the Centre brought an ordinance to create the National Capital Civil Services Authority (NCCSA), which will have the power to recommend transfers and postings of all Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Island Civil Services (DANICS) officers and Group A officers serving in Delhi. Kejriwal is on a nationwide tour to garner support in fight against the Centre’s ordinance on control of services in Delhi. He meets the leaders of the opposition parties and seeks their cooperation against the decision of the Centre.

Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal reached Kolkata yesterday. Kejriwal met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at the state secretariat Nabanna in Kolkata. During the meeting Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP leaders Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chadha and Delhi government minister Atishi were also present with him.
After meeting CM Mamata, Delhi CM Kejriwal said,” We have seen how the governors are harassing the government in Punjab, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu. What he did in Delhi is against democracy. The people of the country should remove this arrogant government. I would like to thank Didi that she said that she will support us in the Rajya Sabha. If the bill is rejected in Rajya Sabha then it will be a semi-final before 2024.
After meeting Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee issued a statement saying that even after the decision of the Supreme Court, we will oppose the ordinance that the central government has brought against the Delhi government and I will also appeal to all parties to come forward and unite on this issue.
