Even though people remember the communal riots of 2002 in India, often for their political gains, the people of Gujarat are trying to forget this terrible massacre. But now the controversy seems to be increasing after a video of Karnataka Minister C.T. Ravi surfaced. In this video he said,“People have given us a mandate for this reason. People who are protesting (against the CAA) are anti-democratic and against the constitution.”

Congress leader Dinesh Gundu Rao tweeted and shared the video saying, “The most intimidating threat from CT Ravi. The police must register a case against them and take them in preventive custody. While in a constitutional post, they should not talk like this.”
Karnataka Tourism Minister Ravi made this statement when he was asked by the Reporters on Wednesday his response to the statement made by Karnataka UT Khader, in which he had said that if the citizenship Act is applicable then the Karnataka will be blown to cinders.
