Voting for the 224-seat Karnataka assembly will be held on May 10 and counting on May 13. Before that, political activities have been intensified. Star campaigners are busy with holding election rallies and road shows. Political parties are releasing their manifestos giving number of promises to indulge voters.

Meanwhile, the Congress on Tuesday has released its manifesto for the upcoming Karnataka assembly elections. Congress has made big promises and proposed a ban on organisations that “promote enmity or hatred” such as the Islamic outfit Popular Front of India (PFI) and Bajrang Dal.” Congress has announced in its manifesto, “law and Constitution is sacrosanct and can not be violated by individuals and organisations like Bajrang Dal, PFI or others promoting enmity or hatred, whether among majority or minority communities.”

“We will take decisive action as per law including imposing a ban on any such organisations, says Congress in its manifesto for Karnataka Elections 2023,” the Congress tweeted.
Congress has further said in its manifesto that the party is committed to increase reservation for SC’s from 15% to 17%, for ST’s 3% to 7%, and restore minority reservation 4% and increase reservations Lingayat’s, VokKaliggas’s and other communities and to pursue for inclusion in the 9th Schedule of the Constitution.
Congress, in its manifesto, has promised that its govt will provide 200 units of free electricity under Gruha Jyothi scheme. Rs 2,000 every month to each and every woman head of the family under Gruha Lakshmi scheme. Rs 3,000 per month for two years to unemployed graduates and Rs 1,500 per month to unemployed diploma holders under Yuva Nidhi.
Congress has also announced to provide Free travel to all women in regular KSRTC/BMTC buses under Shakti scheme in its manifesto.
