Ahmedabad: Justice Aravind Kumar took charge as the new Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court on Wednesday morning. His appointment had been notified by the Centre recently, along with appointment of other CJs.
Justice Aravind Kumar, who is from Karnataka High Court, became a lawyer in 1987. He was elevated as additional judge of Karnataka High Court in 2009.
The President recently approved of elevation of eight judges as Chief Justices of different states as well as transfer of five CJs to other HCs.
