Jignesh Mevani set fire on Statue of Unity Bill to Support Tribals, Raise Slogans Against Rupani Govt

Gandhinagar: Independent MLA Jignesh Mevani expressed his opposition by burning the Statue of Unity Development Bill and shouted slogans against the Rupani government outside the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. Even after being suspended for the entire session on the very first day of the assembly session. Mevani came in support of the tribals and burnt the bill outside the assembly building.

Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today introduced a bill in the Assembly regarding the Statue of Unity. After that Mevani reach out of the Assembly and burnt the Bill in support of tribals. It may be noted that in Gujarat Assembly, there was a debate on the occasion of Constitution Day on Monday. During which Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel was speaking on the Constitution, then Mevani heard the BJP about this debate and words like not not to speak in the Assembly. After which he was suspended for the entire season. Despite this, he reached out of the assembly today and announced his support for the tribals and expressed his anger to the opposition by burning the bill of statue of unity .

The Gujarat government is trying to woo tourists visiting the area by passing the Statue of Unity Area Development and Tourism Bill. Not only this, such information is also being received that the government is making a plan to remove the liquor ban law from this area. Mevani was suspended for the entire session, sat outside the assembly and raised slogans against the government. More than three supporters of Mevani, who were protesting with him have been taken into custody by the police.
