Jharkhand Assembly Elections: PM Modi and Amit Shah Appeal Voters to Vote Overwhelmingly

Jharkhand: PM Narendra Modi on Saturday appeal voters to vote in large numbers for the 2nd phase of Jharkhand assembly elections and make the celebration of democracy a success. Modi tweeted, “Today is the second round of voting in the Jharkhand assembly election. I appeal all voters to make this celebration of democracy a success by voting in greater numbers.”

Home Minister Amit Shah has appealed to the people to participate strongly in the Jharkhand elections. Amit Shah tweeted, “I appeal to all the voters to vote as much as they can to participate in the great cause of democracy.Your one vote is important for a prosperous and progressive Jharkhand.”

Significantly, in Jharkhand, voting started at seven in the morning amidst unprecedented security arrangements for twenty seats of the second phase out of 81 assembly seats. Polling in all the seats began at 7 am and will continue till 3 pm barring only Jamshedpur-East and Jamshedpur-West constituencies where polling will be held from 7 am to 5 pm. These are the seats where QR coded voter slips and Booth App will be used for the first time in the state.
