Jharkhand Assembly Election: Fifteen Assembly Constituencies have Vote in the Fourth Phase

Ranchi: The fourth phase of voting started in Jharkhand from today. The voting began at 7 am and had conclude at 3pm at Jamua, Bagodar, Giridih,Dumri and Tundi. While for the rest of the seats the voting will continue till 5 pm. In this phase, a total of 221 candidates are in the fray. Of which 22 are women and one is transgender.

The seats going to the polls in the round were Madhupur, Bogodar, Gandey, Giridih, Dumri, Bokaro, Sindri, Nirsa, Dhanbad, Jharia, Tundi, Baghmara, Deoghar, Jamua and Chandankiyari will have voted today.

Each of these meetings is spread across four districts of the state. A total of 47,85,009 voters, including 22,44,134 women and 81 third-gender voters, are eligible to decide the fate of 221 nominees, including 23 women candidates. In addition, there are 7,64,742 voters in Bokaro seats. While the number of voters for 6 seats in Dhanbad district is 19,24,682.

Jharkhand’s election for the fourth phase was stopped on Saturday evening at five o’clock. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and other leaders were vigorously trying to lure the voters to the polls. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi also campaigned for Congress.

Voting has already started on 15 seats in the fourth phase. Prime Minister Modi has appealed to the people to go vote. PM Modi said, “Today is voting for the fourth phase of Jharkhand Assembly Polls. I appeal to all the voters to cast their votes and participate in this festival of democracy.”
