Three earthquakes were reported from different parts of Jamnagar and Kutch districts in Saurashtra on Monday. Officials said the earthquakes were of low to moderate intensity. No casualty was reported in the incident.
The most severe of the three earthquakes measured 3.1 on the Richter Scale and had its epicentre 28 km south-south-east of Jamnagar. It was felt at 1.38 pm and the depth of the quake was 3.3 km, the Institute of Seismological Research (ISR) in Gandhinagar said.
The other two earthquakes measured 1.8 and 2.1 on the Richter scale and were recorded at 6.08 am and 9.21 am, respectively, in Kutch district.
Reports said the earthquake of 1.8 magnitudes had its epicentre 14 km north-west of Bhachau in Kutch, while the one that measured 2.1 on Richter scale had its epicentre 35 km north-northeast of Khavda in the district.
Earthquakes reported on Sunday too
Earlier on Sunday, a quake of 3.5 magnitude was reported at 10.09 pm in Jamnagar district. The epicentre of the quake was 27 km east-northeast of Lalpur town. The tremors were recorded at 5.07 pm and the earthquake had a depth of 4.3 km. firstly,
Before that, two lesser-intensity quakes of 2.8 and 1.7 magnitude were recorded at 2.28 pm and 5.04 pm, respectively. They too had the epicentre near Lalpur.

An earthquake of magnitude 3.3 on the Richter Scale was felt in south Gujarat on August 3 with the epicentre being 7 km east-south-east from Bharuch city.
