Ten people were killed and 55 others were injured when a bus fell into a deep gorge in Jammu on Tuesday morning. According to news agency ANI, the bus was going from Amritsar to Katra and fell into the deep gorge of Jhajjar Kotli. According to the information received so far, 10 people have died in this accident and many have been admitted to the hospital for treatment in critical condition, due to which the death toll may increase.

According to Jammu SSP Chandan Kohli, 10 people have died and around 55 people have been injured in the bus accident in Jammu. Everyone has been taken out safely. Rescue operation is almost complete. SDRF team is also present on the spot. The bus was overcrowded and will be probed during the investigation.
Giving information in this regard, CRPF officer Ashok Chaudhary engaged in the rescue operation, said,” As soon as we got information about the accident in the morning, our team immediately reached here and started the rescue operation. The dead bodies have been taken out and the injured have been taken to the hospital. The police team is also engaged in the rescue operation with us. Rescue operation is going on. It is being told that there were people from Bihar in the bus who were going to Katra.”
Dilbag Singh, DGP, Jammu and Kashmir said that it seems that due to driver’s nap or the high speed of the bus, the bus went uncontrolled and fell into the gorge. The death toll in the incident has gone up to 10. The people injured in the accident are undergoing treatment.
According to the Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, Arun Kumar Mehta, all the people who were injured are being treated and help is being provided to them.
