Dhaka: The Radhakanta Iskcon temple in Wari, Dhaka, was vandalised on Thursday night, allegedly by Islamic extremists. It is the second Iskcon temple in Bangladesh o be vandalised in less than six months.

According to eyewitnesses, there were around 200 people in the mob.

This is not the first attack on a Hindu temple in Bangladesh

In October last year, a mob attacked the Iskcon temple in Bangladesh’s Noakhali area. That attack had come just hours after Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that those involved in the attacks on Hindu temples and Durga pandals would be hunted down and punished.
