IPS Officer Anup Singh took over the charge as new DG of NSG

Senior IPS Officer of Gujarat cadre Anup Kumar Singh, took over the charge as new Director General of the National Security Guard(NSG).The 1985 batch IPS Officer AK Singh is appointed as new DG of ‘Black Cat Commando’ was approved by the appointment committee of the cabinet(ACC) led by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi Approval.Now, AK Singh will remain in the office until 30 september,2020 or until the next command.

NSG was founded in 1984 to deal with the incidents like terrorist attack or hijackers.There are total 5 hubs across the country for this cammandos and beside this its main office is in Gurgaon Manesar. NSG Cammando will also take care of the personal security of some high profile VVIPs.
