In a one sided match, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 81 runs, played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata yesterday.

RCB won the toss and opt to bowl. KKR batting first scored 204/7 in 20 overs, with the help of good batting from Rahmanullah Gurbaz 57 of 44 with 6 fours and 3 sixes, Shardul Thakur 68 in just 29 balls, was in particularly stunning form and slammed nine fours and three sixes, and Rinku Singh 46 in 33 balls with 2 fours and 3 six. David Willey and Karn Sharma bagged two wickets of KKR.
Chasing a victory target of 205 runs, RCB were bowled out for 123 in 17.3 overs. No batsman from RCB could play fruitful inning for the side. FD Plasis scored 23, while Virat Kohli 21 and David Wiley was unbeaten with 20 runs.
Varun Chakravarthy took four wickets of RCB and Suyash Sharma bagged three dismissals.
