India’s Counterattack to Pakistan in UNESCO on Kashmir-Ayodhya Issue

New Delhi/ Paris: India has given a stubborn reply to Pakistan in UNESCO over the issue of Kashmir and Ayodhya. India has criticized the neighboring country, saying that Pakistan has a mental illness to bend over the internal affairs of our country. On the issue of terrorism, India took Pakistan on the sidelines and said that the whole world is disturbed by Pakistan-inspired terrorism.

While addressing the 40th UNESCO General Conference – General Policy Debate in Paris on Wednesday held at the UNESCO headquarters. The judgment is about the rule of law, equal respect for all faiths, concepts that are alien to Pakistan. The way Pakistan is shaking its head in our internal affairs is reprehensible.

Responding to the Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh, India said that both of these are an integral part of India. India further said that Pakistan is constantly interfering in India’s internal affairs, which was by no means acceptable. Terrorist activities are being encouraged across the border.

Pakistan Minister Shafqat Mahmood on Wednesday raised the Kashmir issue in UNESCO and called for the exercise of its moral authority to convince the Indian government. He claimed it was not in line with the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization’s (UNESCO) values of religious freedom.

Moin ul Haq, Pakistan ambassador to France and Pakistan permanent representative to UNESCO, also attended the session. The Pakistani minister raised issues related to human rights of the people of Kashmir. For the last 100 days in Kashmir, a curfew-like situation has violated the fundamental rights of more than 80 lakh Kashmiris. India has previously called the Kashmir issue an internal matter of India and has received the support of many countries of the world globally.

Pakistan has frequently tried to raise Article 370 at international forums but always failed to gain support. In order to justify India’s position, the official also raised questions to expose Pakistan lies and deception with malign India.
