In the pink ball test played between India and Bangladesh, the hosts crushed Bangladesh by an innings and 46 runs and clinched the series. With this India have extended its record of consecutive home Test series victories to 12.

The second test between India and Bangladesh saw the trio of Indian pacers Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Shami pick 19 wickets. It is the most number of wickets by Indian pacers in a Home Test. The previous best was 17 wickets against Sri Lanka in Kolkata in 2017/18 season.

A classy century from Virat Kohli and five-wicket hauls from Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav powered India to a 2-0 series clean sweep as they beat Bangladesh by an innings and 46 runs in the historic day-night Test at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. This is the first time a team has recorded four consecutive wins by an innings or more.

Mushfiqur Rahim’s fighting half-century was Bangladesh’s only positive as India outplayed the visitors in all departments. In fact, the match looked like it was headed for a two-day finish until Mushfiqur and Mahmudullah put up a counter-attack. But Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur couldnnt take the match further.

With the win in the second Test against Bangladesh in Kolkata, Team India became the first team to win four consecutive Tests by an Innings margin.
