In Gandhinagar a M-17 helicopter showered petals on the GMERS Civil hospital where Covid19 patients are being treated while three Sukhoi-30 fighter planes showered petals on the state assembly building. A formation of the fighter aircraft also flew over the state assembly building at a height of just 500 meters from the building. The band of IAF also played the Sare Jahan se Accha at the hospital in Gandhinagar as a mark of tribute to the Covid19 warriors. The armed forces had organised similar such tributes in 17 state capitals and Union Territories at one go. In Ahmedabad, the Civil Hospital in the BJ Medical College Campus was also showered with petals by the IAF. The Indian Navy also saluted the ”corona warriors” by illuminating its vessels along the Gujarat coast in the early hours of Sunday.
