Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday took to twitter to criticise the horse-trading being practiced by the BJP in Gujarat ahead of the Rajya Sabha Polls. “BJP is again using its time tested tactic, which is horse trading in Gujarat ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections,” Gehlot wrote in the tweet. He further said that the party can go to any extent to win the seats in the state.
“Luring the Opposition MLAs is the party’s only game plan in order to grab seats of power by hook or by crook,” Gehlot wrote in the tweet. The response comes in the wake of two more MLAs resigning from the Congress party in Gujarat taking the total number of legislators who have quit the party to seven ahead of the Rajya Sabha polls.
Earlier five five Congress MLAs – Pravin Maru from Gadhada, Pradyumansinh Jadeja from Abdasa, Soma Koli Patel from Limbdi, J V Kakadia from Dhari and Mangal Gavit from Dang had resigned after the announcement of Rajya Sabha candidates but they had not formally joined the BJP.
