Gandhinagar: The winter session of Gujarat Assembly has begun today, on the first day of a three-day session, where the Congress tried to surround the government on different issues while Jignesh Mevani got suspended.

There was debate in the Assembly on the occasion of Constitution Day. During this time Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel was speaking on the constitution, only then Jignesh Mevani behaved rudely. Assembly Speaker Rajendra Trivedi was constantly warning him, but Jignesh Mevani entered the lobby after making a noise. Chairman Rajendra Trivedi then summoned Marshall and forced out Mewani. Regarding the behavior of Jignesh Mewani, the chairman said that Mewani is behaving like this to stay in the news. That is why Jignesh Mevani has been suspended for 3 days.

Mewani expressed his anger

Gujarat Vidhansabha’s speaker suspended Jignesh Mevani today for three-days for calling the Vijay Rupani government a follower of ‘Manusmriti’, and not the Constitution. On this Mevani said, “I am proud to be suspended while supporting the Constitution.”

Assembly’s sergeants dragged me out of the Vidhansabha as Speaker Rajendra Trivedi could not take my opposition to Vijay Rupani’s motion to celebrate November 26 as Constitution Day. A Manuvaadi government is not capable of understanding the Constitution.

Earlier, Speaker Rajendra Trivedi has muted my mic while speaking in Assembly. Now, they plan to talk about the Constitution while suspending a Dalit MLA and dragging him out of the Vidhansabha.
