Gujarat: Traffic Police Cannot Use Mobile Phones on Duty

Ahmedabad police has taken one important decision. Under which, the traffic police personnel cannot use the mobile phones during the time of duty and they must also follow the traffic rules.

In this regard, Traffic DCP West Ajit Rajyan said that the traffic police personnel standing at signal cannot use their mobile phones during duty. He further said that TRPs, home guards, LR and police constable cannot use mobile phones during duty. But the high authority officers can use the phone on duty.

This circular has also been issued in Rajkot. In this regard, Rajkot Police Commissioner Manoj Agarwal said that while on duty traffic police can neither keep mobile phones with them nor use it. But they have to deposit the mobile phones to the senior officers and can use it in case of need.
