Gujarat has reported 1,335 fresh cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours ending 5 pm on Sunday. The addition of the fresh cases has taken Gujarat’s total tally to 1,04,341.
3,108 COVID-19 related deaths in Gujarat
Fourteen deaths were reported in the state in the past 24 hours. The fresh fatalities have taken Gujarat’s COVID-19 related death toll to 3,108. While three deaths have been reported from Ahmedabad, five deaths have been reported from Surat. The districts of Gandhinagar, Gir Somnath, Kutch, Rajkot, Vadodara and Morbi reported one death each.
295 fresh cases in Surat, 173 in Ahmedabad
Of the 1,335 fresh cases reported on Sunday, 295 cases have been reported from Surat, 173 cases have been reported from Ahmedabad, 127 cases have been reported from Vadodara, and 41 cases have been reported from the state capital Gandhinagar.
This apart, Rajkot has reported 151 cases, Bhavnagar has reported 49 cases, Mehsana 29 cases, and Jamnagar 106 cases.
Meanwhile, Junagarh has reported 29 fresh cases of the virus, whereas the tribal district of Panchamahals has reported 31 fresh cases. Dahod has reported 17 cases, Amreli 23 cases and Kheda 11 cases.

Similarly, Bharuch has reported 22 cases, Valsad has reported eight cases, Anand 14 cases, and Patan 16 cases.
With the addition of the fresh cases, the total COVID-19 case tally in Ahmedabad has increased to 32,524. The total tally has reached 22,337 in Surat, 8,937 in Vadodara, and 2,653 in Gandhinagar.
Ahmedabad’s COVID-19 death toll climbs to 1,735
Similarly, the addition of the three fatalities reported in the past 24 hours has taken the death toll due to COVID-19 in Ahmedabad to 1,735. The death toll has increased to 662 in Surat, whereas it remains 140 for Vadodara and 58 for Gandhinagar.
84,758 COVID-19 patients discharged so far
According to the health department, there are 16,475 active cases of the virus in Gujarat. Of this, 92 patients are critical and have been put on ventilator support. So far, 84,758 patients have been discharged in the state after being treated for the viral infection. Over 1,212 patients were discharged in the past 24 hours.
