Gujarat has reported 1,326 fresh cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours ending 5 pm on Sunday. The addition of the fresh cases has taken Gujarat’s total tally to 1,13,662.
3,213 COVID-19 related deaths in Gujarat
Fifteen deaths were reported in the state in the past 24 hours. The fresh fatalities have taken Gujarat’s COVID-19 related death toll to 3,213. While four deaths have been reported from Ahmedabad, six deaths have been reported from Surat. Two deaths have been reported from Vadodara. The districts of Rajkot, Bhavnagar and Bharuch have reported one death each.
281 fresh cases in Surat, 172 in Ahmedabad
Of the 1,326 fresh cases reported on Sunday, 281 cases have been reported from Surat, 172 cases have been reported from Ahmedabad, 124 cases have been reported from Vadodara, and 46 cases have been reported from the state capital Gandhinagar.
This apart, Rajkot has reported 151 cases, Bhavnagar has reported 69 cases, Mehsana 32 cases, and Jamnagar 120 cases.
Meanwhile, Junagarh has reported 36 fresh cases of the virus, whereas the tribal district of Panchamahals has reported 30 fresh cases. Dahod has reported 17 cases, Amreli 25 cases and Kheda 11 cases.

Similarly, Bharuch has reported 21 cases, Valsad has reported eight cases, Anand 10 cases, and Patan 11 cases.
With the addition of the fresh cases, the total COVID-19 case tally in Ahmedabad has increased to 33,725. The total tally has reached 24,266 in Surat, 9,818 in Vadodara, and 2,918 in Gandhinagar.
Ahmedabad’s COVID-19 death toll climbs to 1,759
Similarly, the addition of the four fatalities reported in the past 24 hours has taken the death toll due to COVID-19 in Ahmedabad to 1,759. The death toll has increased to 698 in Surat, whereas it remains 151 for Vadodara and 64 for Gandhinagar.
94,010 COVID-19 patients discharged so far
According to the health department, there are 16,439 active cases of the virus in Gujarat. Of this, 87 patients are critical and have been put on ventilator support. So far, 94,010 patients have been discharged in the state after being treated for the viral infection. In fact, over 1,205 patients were discharged in the past 24 hours.
