Gujarat government has announced a compensation of Rs95,100 for houses that have been completely damaged in cyclone Tauktae
The Gujarat government following a meeting to discuss the aftermath of cyclone Tauktae has announced compensation for houses that have been damaged in the event. The state said that it will compensate for pucca houses, semi-pucca houses, hutments, and even kaccha houses that were destroyed in the state.
He said the district administration of the respective districts is carrying out a survey of such damaged houses on a war footing.
Manpower from other districts that have been impacted is also being pressed into service to survey so that it can be finished as soon as possible. The chief minister asked that the survey about damaged houses be finished soon.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel, education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama and home minister Pradipsinh Jadeja among others.
Who will get what as compensation for damaged houses?
- Houses that have been completely damaged will get Rs95,100 as compensation.
- Partially damaged houses including kuccha houses will get Rs25,000 as compensation.
- Hutments that have been destroyed will get Rs10,000 while cowsheds that have been destroyed will get Rs5,000.
