Bail denied to 3 men accused of running sex racket under guise of guest house


Aaquib Chhipa, Ahmedabad: A local court in Ahmedabad has rejected the bail of three accused who were allegedly running a brothel house under the guise of a guest house in Odhav area of the city.

The court while rejecting the bail of the accused manager – Indrasinh Jaswantsinh Rav and the other two observed that it is clear from the FIR that they were involved in supplying women to their customers.

The other two accused are Kuldipsinh Rav and Ghulsinh Rav. The manager of Krishna Palace Guest House was booked under the same offence in 2018 too.

The court also observed that the accused are habitual offenders and if granted bail could tamper with evidence and threaten witnesses. The court rejected their bail as the investigation is pending and the charge sheet is yet to be filed.

What the accused argued in the sex racket case

Counsel for the accused argued that they had been falsely implicated.

He said the accused worked as managers and assistant managers at the guest house. One of the accused Kuldipsinh Rav was working as the night shift manager but due to COVID-19 notification, the guest houses was closed by 10 pm.

Odhav police on August 6, raided the Krishna Palace Guest House in Odhav and arrested the three for running a sex racket.
