The Zone 1 DCP has nabbed one more person for black marketing of Remdesivir injections in Ahmedabad. In this case, the accused brought the injections from doctors in Surat and Juhapura in Ahmedabad and then sold them to those in need at a higher price. Sola police said the accused bought the injections from the doctor for Rs9000 and sold it for Rs11,000.
The cops got a tip-off that someone was selling Remdesivir injections illegally and the person was to come near the Kargil Petrol pump on SG highway. The police nabbed one Jay Shah who was on an Activa scooter.

Cops found six vials of Remdesivir injections in his bag during the search. Some of it was in liquid form while some other medicines were in powdered form. When the cops asked him for documents that allowed him access to scheduled drugs he could not produce any.
He told cops that he had brought the injections for Rs9000 from one Dr. Milan Sutharia in Surat and that he had paid via google pay to the doctor. He told cops that he had in all got several injections, two of which he used for his mother and that he had to go them via courier from Surat.
He said he had got another set of injections from one Ruhi, a resident of Amber Tower in Juhapura and that he had bought it for Rs16,000.
Cops are also on the lookout for the Surat doctor and the woman named Ruhi who supplied the injections.
