BJP in civic polls

BJP brought in a new rule for civic body polls where those above the age of 60 years will not be given tickets for the local body elections in Gujarat. BJP this time has thus given tickets to many youngsters, although this has led to some disappointment among senior leaders.

BJP also did not give a ticket to PM’s niece Sonal Modi who had sought a ticket from Bodakdev ward.

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation elections will be held on February 21 and vote counting for it will take place on February 23.
